The X Eurasian Economic Forum in Verona demonstrated the readiness of businesses to expand cooperation in Greater Eurasia

October 20, 2017. Moscow, Verona. The X Eurasian Economic Forum in Verona organized by the Conoscere Eurasia Association, the Roskognress Foundation, and the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum demonstrated strong will of business to overcome all existing obstacles and come to closer cooperation in Greater Eurasia.

The X Eurasian Economic Forum in Verona was attended by more than 1000 participants, including heads of more than 850 major Eurasian companies from 25 countries, political and public figures, opinion leaders, diplomats, and journalists from throughout the world.

Among the main discussed issues were the new prospects of the Eurasian cooperation, including development of trade and economic relations in Greater Eurasia, future of the energy sector, creation of new infrastructure and financial flows in the international geopolitical context.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Pope Francis sent their greetings in letters addressed to the Forum’s participants.

"We note that this year a lot more delegates took part in the Forum comparing with previous years, and the quality of the speakers also increased," said Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banca Intesa and President of the Conoscere Eurasia Association, Antonio Fallico.

According to Professor Fallico, the Forum showed the readiness of businesses from the European Union, the Eurasian Economic Union, and greater Eurasia as a whole to expand cooperation despite the difficult situation and the persistence of sanctions. "There are deep economic, historical and cultural reasons for this," he concluded.

The X Eurasian Economic Forum was held in Verona (Italy) on 19-20 of October 2017.
