Multimedia Art Museum. Moscow with support of Banca Intesa opened Ivan Bianchi exhibition “Photographs of St. Petersburg and Moscow of 1850 - 1870s”
February 28th, 2014, Moscow. The Multimedia Art Museum (MAMM) unveiled the Ivan Bianchi exhibition “Photographs of St. Petersburg and Moscow of 1850 - 1870s” sponsored by Banca Intesa. The photo exhibition is part of the X International Month of Photography in Moscow “Photobiennale 2014”.
Ivan (Giovanni) Bianchi is an outstanding Swiss photographer and artist of the XIX century, one of the founders of such photo genres as photo-story and architectural photo.
The Exhibition was opened by welcoming speeches of the Director of the Moscow House of Photography and MAMM Olga Sviblova, the visiting curator of the exhibition Arminio Scilolli, and the acting Chairman of the Management Board of Banca Intesa Olga Lein.
The Ivan Bianchi exhibition is the third project organized by MAMM together with Banca Intesa. The first exhibition dedicated to the Italian film director Federico Fellini «Fellini. La Grand-Parade» took place in 2011 during the official program of the Russia-Italy Year of Culture. The Bank was the partner of the exhibition. The second project supported by Banca Intesa in 2013 was another photo exhibition of Inge Schönthal Feltrinelli “People who changed the time”. The exhibition was held in the premises of Ekaterina Cultural Foundation which was one of the places of the VIII International Moscow Biennale “Fashion and Style in Photography”.
The Ivan Bianchi exhibition “Photographs of St. Petersburg and Moscow of 1850 - 1870s” is open until March 23rd, 2014 at the Multimedia Art Museum located in Ostozhenka Street, 16 in Moscow.All press-releases
